In the descriptions, recommendations…we often use terms such as: handle bar, leg, distance-setting-bar, spread range, normal position by design (for mounting the distance-setting-bars)…
This can make it difficult to understand, not being able to visualize what the parts look like. Here’s a visual image to help you understand what we’re talking about:
You can adjust the height of the KT pull up bar stand in three ways:
Way 1: Increase or decrease the length of 4 legs:
Each leg CONSISTS OF 02 SECTIONS: The upper section (smaller outer diameter) is inserted into the below section (bigger outer diameter) AS THE ANTENNA. The users can match one of holes of the upper section with the hole in the below section and insert a bolt through them to adjust the length of each leg, this help adjusting the height of the frame.
When you want to lower the handle-bar, just insert further (deeper) the upper section into the below section, match the holes and insert the bolt through them. Conversely, when you want a higher level, pull-out the upper section from the below section as making the leg longer.
Way 2: Increase or decrease the spread range of the KT stand frame
The distance-setting-bar is also like an antenna, it can be shorter or longer with the smaller bar is inserted into the bigger bar. You can adjust the length of it, match the holes between smaller bar and bigger bar, and insert bolt through matched holes to fix the length of the distance-setting-bar
The spread range is changed wider or narrower by adjusting the length of 02 distance-setting-bars or by mounting them to the holes in higher positions than the normal hole position by design.
Way 3: Combine way 1 and way 2
1 – The term “Max height by design” :
Is the height of the KT stand frame when you set the length of all 4 legs to the longest level and set 02 distance-setting-bars at the longest level, then mount the distance-setting-bars in the normal position by design.
It is the highest height of the handle-bar – by design – for the user to perform common movements in the safest way.
“Max height by design” is not the maximum height of the KT stand frame in actual use.
Because if you set 04 legs at the longest level, but shorten the 02 distance-setting-bars and mount them in the normal position by design. At that time, the spread range of the frame is narrowed and the frame will be higher. But, the firmness of the pull up bar will be reduced, less safe
2- The term “Min height by design” :
Is the height of the KT stand frame when you set the length of all 04 legs to the shortest level and set 02 distance-setting-bars at the shortest level, then mount the distance-setting-bar in the normal position by design
“Min height by design” is not the lowest height of the KT stand frame in actual use. Because if you set the distance-setting-bars longer, the height will be lower
3 – The term “Max load capacity”:
Is the product’s load-bearing limit during a SPECIFIC TRAINING TIME.
For example, the KT pull up bar stand model KT1.1518 has the max load capacity 200kgs. It means, if a user hangs on this product with a total weight of 200kgs and performs pull-ups, body swing etc. – AT THAT TIME – The KT1.1518 pull up bar can still withstand the entire weight and other forces without bending or collapsing.
However – in the LONG TERM – if a user weighing more than 100kgs regularly practices with this model, it will cause the handle-bar to bend or the entire frame to “degrade” quickly. Therefore, KT pull up bar Model KT1.1518 is only suitable for users less than 100kgs
KT folding pull up bar is the type placed on the ground, the legs of the frame are not buried and fixed to the ground, so you need to follow the below instructions:
– Only swing body within the spread range of the frame. See figure 8, figure 9 below
– When performing muscle-up, turn over (putting your body on the bar and turning upside down), kipping pull-ups – you should set the spread range wide
– If you want to perform acrobatic exercises on the bar or swing your body beyond the spread range of the frame, you must take the necessary protective measures, for example: Ask someone else to hold the legs, place objects with a total weight greater than your own weight on the legs of the frame (such as concrete slabs, sandbags, cast iron blocks …)
1 – Do not stand on the distance-setting-bars
By design, 02 distance-setting-bars are only used to set the spread range of the KT stand frame without bearing force. Therefore, we use thin thickness steel tubes for production – in order to reduce the total weight of the pull up bar frame
Standing on the distance-setting-bars will bend them – their length can no longer be adjusted (smaller bar cannot be inserted deeply inside the bigger bar)
2 – Should not place the KT pull up bar stand in the rain or snow
KT folding pull up bar is made of ALLOY STEEL, powder coated. NOT made of galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Because the main component of ALLOY STEEL is iron (FE) with other metals added to increase hardness and durability, the KT pull up bar will rust if it is placed in the rain or snow for a long time. Due to rain water entering through the holes into the inside of the tubes (which are not powder coated) and destroying the product from the inside
Therefore, you should use and store the product indoors or cover it with large tarps if using it outdoors for long-term use. We do not provide a warranty when you leave products in rain or snow for a long time, rusting the frame, bolts and nuts
